Introduction

Hawksmoor Windermere guesthouse & bed & breakfast is ideally situated midway between Windermere, Bowness and the Lake. The bedrooms here at the Hawksmoor Windermere guesthouse & bed & breakfast are newly furnished with Tea and Coffee facilities, and are all en-suite. Wi-Fi access is available in all bedrooms and in the conservatory. Guest bedrooms are all equipped with flat-screen TV.

Car Parking

There is off street, level car parking for all Hawksmoor guests.

Arrival and Car Parking

For guests arriving from the Windermere direction (from the M6/A592) Hawksmoor Windermere guesthouse & bed and breakfast is through Windermere village and approximately half a mile on the right hand side of the road immediately opposite the Catholic Church. Hawksmoor has level off-street car parking for all guests.

For guests arriving by train, Windermere Rail station is situated in Windermere village and has Taxis meeting all trains. The Taxi ride from the Rail station to Hawksmoor windermere guesthouse & bed and breakfast usually costs no more than the standard minimum charge.

Main Entrance, Conservatory, Breakfast Room and Ground Floor Bedrooms (four in total, Rooms 6,7,8,11)
All the above are situated on the ground floor and there are no steps from the car park, the Main entrance has a stone floor which leads onto carpet.

There are four ground floor bedrooms, all of which are different.

All doors leading into the Main Entrance, Breakfast room and all main doors leading into bedrooms are 30″ or 76cm when open, (except the Conservatory, which is 28″ or 71cm).

Rooms 6 and 11 both have 30″ doors leading into the bathrooms.

Guests with any disabilities please advise on booking, when every effort will be made to arrange the most suitable available room for your stay.

There is a portable chip and pin machine available for card payments.

There is no Reception Desk.

Security

Both Front Doors are locked in the evening and at times during the day. Guests are provided with a key and may come and go as they please. There are bells at each front door and internally to summon assistance.

First Floor Bedrooms

There are three 1st floor bedrooms in total (Rooms 1,9,10) all of which are accessed up one flight of stairs.

Second Floor Bedroom

There are two 2nd floor bedrooms (Rooms 4 and 5) both of which are accessed via two flights or stairs.

General

There is a Fire Alarm System installed throughout Hawksmoor.
A visitors’ book is situated in the hall. Guests are encouraged to sign this and add any comments they feel they would like to make.
