Photography stops in the Lake District

For all you budding photographers out there thinking of getting some great snaps, come to the picturesque Lake District! The picture opportunities are endless however we have narrowed down our top locations for the best shots.

Coinston jetty

Coinston jetty is an iconic shot from the Lake District. The picture has been recreated over and over again and probably the most popular photo stop in the Lake District. There is no other place like the jetty, after you have the perfect photo, you can explore the jetty and the areas around it. Rigg Wood is a location and has the potential for great pictures.

Castlerigg Stone Circle

There are 38 free standing stones near Keswick that are from around 3000BC. The stones are one of the earliest sited stone circles throughout the UK. It would be wise to get there for sunrise / sunset if you intend to capture the perfect photo, there will be a lot of other photographers who most likely have a similar idea to you. But don’t let that put you off! The sheer beauty of the landscape is worth a visit whether you are carrying a camera or not!
