Wray Castle welcomes National Trust Children’s Book Festival once again!

The National Trust's Children's Book Festival is coming back to Wray Castle through high demand.

Best-selling children’s authors, artists and characters will set out toward the west shore of Windermere on 4th & 5th March 4th, to meet a new generation of fans and older fans. The director of Wray Castle, Jon O'Donoghue said “We’re so excited to be hosting the festival here for a second year.”

There will be themed activities that will happen consistently throughout the festival weekend, for example, a magical Harry Potter event, with awards for the best fancy dress; a book in the new series ‘The Secret Diary of John Drawbridge, Medieval Knight in Training’ by Philip Ardagh will be launched.

The festival shop will have souvenirs and books by the writers to browse. In addition, you can bring along a World Book Day token and pick out your free World Book Day book!

After exploring the North-West, come and stay at the Hawkmoor for a great night’s sleep and enjoy our award winning breakfast in the morning!

You will need to book in advance if you are planning to go to this amazing literary festival! No tickets will be sold on the day at Wray Castle.
